"Experienced motorcyclists know the importance of wearing good hearing protection while out on a trip. At a speed of 100 kilometres (60 miles) per hour, the wind noise under the helmet can quickly get as high as 94 decibels. This is harmful after just fifteen minutes. The same more or less applies to open-top cars. At a speed between 80 and 112 kilometres (50 to 65 miles) per hour, the sound caused by the wind created by driving can reach as much as 110 decibels, approximately the same as the noise level of a drill. If you expose your hearing to this for longer than seven minutes, you will definitely incur damage to your hearing", according to Lisette de Roode, Managing Director at Alpine Hearing Protection

Unique design

ATS MotoSafe graphic500MotoSafe ear plugs are produced from very soft flexible and durable AlpineThermoShape material. Due to the warmth of the ear it adapts to the shape of the auditory duct. Therefore, MotoSafe is very comfortable to wear. MotoSafe ear plugs with special wind noise filters are an open system, so that one has no feeling of isolation.

How to insert MotoSafe ear plugs

  1. To insert the protectors, use the enclosed insertion tube. Slide the tube over the filter stem.
  2. Slightly pull up your ear and insert the hearing protector into the ear.
  3. Rotate the insertion tube until the protector fits snugly.
Optimum fit

Thanks to the soft, flexible thermoplastic material used, the protectors are very comfortable to wear. Everyone has a different ear profile, so it may be necessary to make some small adjustments to the protectors for the optimum fit.

Is the earplug too long?
  1. The ear plug may protrude from your ear. In that case, carefully remove the filter from the ear plug.
  2. Then cut off a small section of the stem and replace the filter in the ear plug.
